New favorite "trash" fish

In a world of redfish creeping down a flat in 12 inches of water to just on the other side of a tidal island there is a pod of 70 pound tarpon going bat shit crazy eating baitfish it stands to reason that any sane angler would never give a Bonnet head shark a second look. In reality these cool sharks spend much of the time in shallow water eating crab and shrimp. They are tremendous and powerful fighters on spin gear let alone a fly rod. These beautiful shark's will aggressively eat a well placed shrimp, crab or baitfish fly pattern. Over the past few weeks I as well as my son have been treated to some of the most intense and fun fly fishing I have ever had...just say'n.
