The Geezer’s Paradox
It took me untill around the age of 55 to come to peace with this "You don't become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way of being cool. This is called the Geezer's paradox. Widdershin Smith. My father was a perfect example of this. He never paid no mind to the fashions and trends of a day but was true to himself day in and day out. I have grown a strong distain for all the people in the trendy trying to be cool fly fishing world. As of late I have an inner smile knowing they have years and years to catch up to an old "Geezer" like me and will never be as cool as my late Father.
