Perfect evening tide and low to moderate wind. Off work early so guess where I am going ? You guessed it I will running home to grab the boat and be on my favorite local flat in thirty. Boat hooked up and driving over the intercoastal bridge in 20,hell I will be on the water in time to have 3 maybe 4 hours of casting to redfish before dark. Pulling up to the ramp I check the boat for the three P's, plug, power and petrol. Glance into the boat before I back her down to make sure my boat bag full of flies and leader matarial is in boat and not truck. Walking back to truck and it hits me...No fly rods... shit...Good thing my good friend Captain Buzz lives on water 5 minutes from ramp. Really good thing he answered phone and loaned me his favorite Winston and Tibor.
